Professional Bio

With over 20 years experience in both public and private schools, I am currently Head of Lower and Intermediate School at Brookstone School in Columbus, Georgia. I began my overall teaching career as an instructor of politic science and African American history courses at The Ohio State University. While at OSU, I discovered a love of teaching younger students while volunteering in the local community. That was my impetus for applying for Teach for America, where I completed my two year commitment at Inman Middle School in Atlanta, Georgia. My commitment to TFA solidified a love of educating young people, and I never stopped teaching. After 8 years in public school, I moved to Trinity School , a private elementary school in Atlanta, Georgia, and then to Brookstone School in 2019. Throughout my career, I have grown in many positions including Instructional Coach, Instructional Specialist, and Coordinator of DEIB efforts, and a onsite coach for the Blanchard Leadership Institute. I enjoy leading and love everything about curriculum and instruction.
