Professional Bio

This is my third year working with Highlands School, as their school counselor. While my background is as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have always worked in the school setting serving children and families. Before completing my master's I worked in a special education setting through UCP, I was an associate in a 5k classroom and the lead in a 6m to 18m classroom.
Highlands is a very supportive environment and I have enjoyed working on, researching, discussing ideas regarding DEIB, educating teacher regarding mental health issues, the impact of certain diagnosis, de escalation and student safety. I enjoy working with and engaging in discussions with parents regarding family/personal issues, or educational/behavioral/social concerns.
Outside of this work one can find me in the classroom teaching SEL lesson as well as covering issues regarding personal safety.
