Professional Bio
Catherine Beck began her career as an educator in 2001 after receiving her B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry and then her M.A. in Science Education. She taught students from middle school to college in public school settings before settling at Randolph School in Huntsville, Alabama. As a teacher-leader, she teaches and advises eighth graders in addition to serving as a co-director of the mentoring program and as the middle school science department chair. She has led multiple internal and external teams and has also received recognition, such as the Air Force STEM Educator Award, for her supportive classroom environment that consistently challenges students to reach their potential. Her experience in the classroom has informed her practice as a leader where she welcomes and mentors new faculty members to the community.
