Douglas Beam

Dr. Douglas Beam brings over two decades of experience as an educator and leader in schools. As Director of School Membership at Global Online Academy (GOA), he supports a consortium of leading independent schools, helping them connect with peer schools across the country and around the world, and leverage online learning to expand and extend their academic and professional learning programs. In addition to his work with GOA, Dr. Beam serves as a Dissertation Chair in the EdD program at the University of New England, where he mentors doctoral candidates and supports applied research. Prior to his current roles, he held teaching and leadership positions across all school divisions in schools in the USA, India, and the Netherlands, experiences that continue to shape his commitment to helping educators and students find places of belonging in schools.
