Professional Bio
A school administrator with over 20 year experience in leading in curricular innovation, culture change, and professional development, Amy Harriton began her career teaching secondary English. Established as a curricular expert and innovative thinker, she transitioned into curriculum writing for an independent virtual high school as a subject matter expert in English, where she also served as Dean of Online Students and Instruction, including hiring, onboarding, and mentoring online faculty between 2012-2015. Within a short time she was promoted by the campus to the 5th-12th grade Academic Dean, returning to the brick-and-mortar campus and reporting to the Associate Head of Academics and working in collaboration with the MS and HS Principals. In 2019, she moved with her family to take the role of Assistant Head of School, where she promoted innovative academy programs, aligned curriculum K12, facilitated PD K12, and oversaw the international student program. In 2023, Amy and her family moved and settled in northern Atlanta, where Amy currently works as an Assistant High School Principal where her children attend school while she completes her doctorate.
