Nija Majmudar Meyer

Nija Majmudar Meyer joined Woodward Academy in 2014 to lead the marketing and communications efforts for this PK-12 independent school with an enrollment of 2,685 and 60% students of color. In this role, Ms. Meyer has been responsible for sharing the Woodward story with all audiences, from prospective families to alumni, using channels including the Academy's website, the Woodward magazine, media relations, advertising, and social media. In 2017, her duties expanded to include Admissions and Financial Aid when she was named the Academy's Vice President for Enrollment Management, responsible for optimizing the student body while generating net revenue for financial sustainability.

In 2022, Ms. Meyer received the Enrollment Management Association's (EMA) Rising Star Award, honoring educators who have distinguished themselves and/or their schools in the field of enrollment management. She was chosen for exemplifying a passion for admission work and a devotion to service; modeling inspiration, commitment, and integrity; and making a contribution to the effectiveness, success, and future of admissions in independent schools across the country. She has been a presenter and a panelist for multiple conferences and webinars including NAIS, EMA, SAIS, AISAP, Niche, Veracross, Gravyty, INDEX, and TV Asia, among others.

Ms. Meyer previously served in strategic marketing and consulting roles for The Coca-Cola Company, Andersen Consulting's Strategic Services, and GE Capital. She graduated summa cum laude in 1987 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Emory University. She was first in her class and received the BBA Award for Academic Excellence, the highest honor given by the business school, as well as the 'Most Outstanding Student in Marketing' award, chosen by faculty. In 1992, she received a master's degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
