Jay H Philpott

Jay Philpott is a leader in private and family foundations, focused on philanthropy across the Southeast and Midwest. He is also a seasoned education professional with a strong track record as a head of school talent scout, search consultant, and independent fundraising advisor to mission-driven institutions. His background spans both independent schools and higher education—public and private—with deep experience in advancement, admissions, marketing, communications, alumni relations, and administrative leadership.

Jay’s passion for facilities, endowment work, and nonprofit governance is evident through his service on various boards and committees, including those at St. Columba Episcopal Retreat and Conference Center (TN), St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral (MS), and as President of the Dinsmor Neighborhood Home Owners Association (MS).

Jay cherishes family time and global travel adventures. An avid cyclist, in 2024 Jay completed the entire 444-mile stretch of the Natchez Trace Parkway in four days, in addition to routine century rides, including the UCI Gran Fondo World Series at Cheaha State Park, and the Dragons Tail and Cherohala Skyway in 2025.
