Dr. Matthew Jacobs is Head of School at Wayne Country Day School in Goldsboro, North Carolina, where he has led the school through accreditation, strategic planning, enrollment growth, and major facilities expansion. Since 2021, he has guided a period of renewal focused on strong governance, financial sustainability, and a culture of belonging. An experienced independent school leader, Dr. Jacobs blends disciplined execution with deep care for people and purpose. He holds an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University and brings more than twenty years of experience in independent schools across the Southeast.
