Professional Bio
Dr. Tara Terry is the Head of The Fletcher School, an independent K-12 school for students with learning differences located in Charlotte. Tara has spent the majority of her career in schools that educate students with language-based learning disabilities such as dyslexia and ADHD. Throughout her career, she has held various roles, including head of school, assistant head of school, lower school division head, middle school division head, education coach, and school psychologist. She was also a board member of the Georgia chapter of the International Dyslexia Association for many years and currently serves on the boards of the North Carolina Association of Independent Schools (NCAIS) and the Charlotte Speech and Hearing Center (CSHC). Tara earned her B.A. in psychology from the University of South Carolina and her M.A. and Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of Georgia.
