Organization Overview
The Montessori School of Columbia is an authentic Montessori school in the heart of
Columbia. Serving students 3K through 6th grade, our dedicated Montessori-trained teachers
guide children to reach their full potential through academic excellence, social responsibility, and a focus on the greater good. Students learn through hands-on materials and practice respect for themselves, others, and the environment as they aspire to a lifelong love of learning. Through individualized curriculums, children are able to learn at their own pace and take ownership of their progress. Students are encouraged to move freely in the classroom, and our beautiful three-acre campus invites plentiful outdoor time throughout the day. We believe, as did Dr. Maria Montessori, that children should be afforded a rigorous schooling experience that respects their independence, recognizes their unique capabilities, inspires their learning, and guides them to become thriving and contributing members of the greater community.
