Learn with Dr. Emily

Dr. Emily King is a Child Psychologist and former School Psychologist who has worked with neurodivergent children and teens for over 20 years. She received a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and began her career as a School Psychologist in Houston, Texas specializing in school-based mental health in K-12 public schools. Since 2010, Dr. Emily has worked in private practice in North Carolina supporting the mental health needs of neurodivergent youth, their families, and teachers. Her new book, THE NEURODIVERGENT LEARNER, is out in 2026.

Dr. Emily is the creator of The Neurodiverse Classroom®, a professional development curriculum for educators available both in-person and online. She provides talks with parents and educators about how autism, ADHD, and twice-exceptionality impact learning and how best to support the executive functioning and mental health needs of these students.
